I found it so upsetting that a club would bar entrance to men and women that had nipple piercings, but allowed earrings. As if to say - you are welcome here so long as you act like you have absolutely no sexual parts (kind of like those old ASA nudist magazines where they might cloud out the genitals and made the people seem less human and more alien).

I decided to see if matters could be altered. At some time, I was a part of the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR). Long story short, I got no responses.

At precisely the same time, I discovered a shift in society at large. url had spawned off new means to connect and communicate. But as it became simpler to connect, a growing number of people were becoming more judgmental and much more essential.

After passing her mother's vigorous 2 hour investigation I got her approval to contain her in this new enterprise that is Nudist Portal.

Growing up in a clothing-optional, nonjudgmental household offers you a much different outlook on life and human interaction. What we as childhood naturists have taken for granted, was the simple fact that while we may not have some of the superficial social issues to deal with within our close surroundings, others still need to deal with far greater social pressures.

FKK is a social approval movement and NOT simply a nudist focused organization. The naturist movement has a lot of problems now and is nowhere near as value-driven as what it used to be (at least how I remember it). FKK is here to educate the public about a vast bulk of societal problems that many may not really realize exist.

Body Image Issues - We feel the naturist movement can and should do way more to address body image problems today. FKK has published a ton of posts about body image and likely more in the last 4 years than all the other principal nudist organizations combined.

Sexuality - Sex and sexuality should not be a supply of shame. Yet most of the naturist clubs and organizations will go out of their way to deter such discussions. Since mainstream society acts in much precisely the same manner, we use our system to explain and educate people about sex and sexuality issues.

Social Acceptance - Nudist clubs and organizations say they encourage endorsement but they really send combined massages when they discriminate against genders (mainly single men but even single women, also), independence of self expression (such as for example nipple piercings) and so forth. We are supporting clubs to change their policies and have been severing relationships with those that do not.

Censorship - Statues are being removed from public view , artwork is still being censored, artists are being arrested (Andy Golub is a terrific example) and the female nipple is deemed bad and has become a symbol of our spiritual worth driven and patriarchal society. Felicity herself was detained for being top free during a totally legal art performance in NYC's Wall Street.

Legal Dilemmas - America has, in a way, found a war against the nudist community. Unclothed beaches are closing and more laws is becoming passed that hinders our ability to practice and appreciate our way of life. By releasing, promoting and advising the public when such issues arise, we are helping open people's eyes to such issues. We also help NAC (the only genuine legal maven when it comes to laws) increase their reach and awareness (we also support individuals to donate to NAC as they are over worked and way too under funded).

Felicity and I are constantly engaging with mainstream America.

Every one of this does take time and we do rack up expenses. Right now, we have to work other occupations to be able to keep FKK going. We rely on our members to help us fund this venture. But too many people, while they do support what we do, do not see worth in helping us keep the lights on.
